In case a candidate is not satisfied with the Marks awarded to him in the CPT Result/ IPCC Result/ CA Final Result , he can apply for Revaluation of Answer Sheets. Moreover, in case a candidate feels that his Answer Sheet should also be disclosed, the option of disclosing and inspection of Answer Sheets has also been extended for the benefit of the Students with effect from November 2011 Attempt and onwards.

Procedure for Verification of Answer Sheets
There is No Standard Procedure/ Application Form for applying for Revaluation of Marks of CA CPT / CA IPCC / CA Final. A simple Hand written application should be submitted to the Institute in the Candidate’s Own Handwriting indicating
- Roll No. (CPT Admit Card / IPCC/ Final Admit Card)
- Student Reg. No.
- Paper(s) to be verified
- Examination Appeared – (CA CPT / PCC / IPCC / Final)
- Address for Communication
The request for verification will be considered only after the application in the candidate’s own handwriting in Hindi language if the medium of examination was Hindi else in English language duly signed with requisite fee by way of DD is received within 1 month of the date of declaration of Results.
The Candidate should not write his mobile no. or email id or landline numbers in such verification requests. Printed Applications would be rejected
An Application for Verification/ Revaluation of Marks can also be made online on http://icaiexam.icai.org. In case the Student opts for submission of application online, he would be required to Scan the Handwritten Revaluation Application and upload it on the above mentioned website. The Payement of Revaluation Fees in this case would be made using Debit/ Credit Card. After uploading the Scanned Copy online, the Student wont be required to send the hard copy to ICAI.
Fees for Revaluation of Marks
Fee for Revaluation of Marks for IPCC and Final is Rs. 100/- per paper subject to a maximum of Rs. 400/- for all the papers of a group/ both groups.
Fee for Revaluation of Marks for CPT is Rs. 200
Fees is to be remitted by way of Demand Draft in favour of “The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” and payable at New Delhi.
Verification of Marks of CA Answer Sheets
The process of verification of marks covers the following:
- Whether the answer book(s) compilation is complete
- Whether any question or part thereof has remained unvalued
- Whether there is any totaling error in any question or total marks on the cover page
- Whether there is any discrepancy between the marks for each question and or/part thereof and marks for each question indicated on the cover page of the answer book
- Whether the handwriting of the candidate in all the answer books is the same.
The application as above along with the requisite Demand Draft may be either be deposited at or sent to:
“The Additional Secretary (Exam), ICAI Bhawan, Post Box No. 7112, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002“
The application may also be sent to
“The Senior Deputy Director (Exams), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, C-1, Sector -1, Noida- 201301“
Announcement of CA Revaluation Result
The verification process is meticulously drawn up exercise and it normally takes time which may run to about 6-8 weeks but may be longer in some cases.
The outcome of the verification exercise is hosted online by ICAI and a written communication is also sent to the candidate concerned, at the address mentioned by him/her in his/her application. In case of revision of marks, a revised mark sheet is also communicated to the candidate. Students can check the Results of Verification/Revaluation of Marks on

All such candidates who do not receive the response latest upto 20 days before commencement of the next exam, may send an email to the exam department at exam@icai.org
Probabale Outcome of the Result
The Revaluation Exercise may result in
- No Change of Marks
- Increase of Marks,impacting Result or Exemption in one or more papers
- Increase in Marks, which does not have any impact on Result or Exemption in one or more papers
- Decrease of Marks
Refund of Verification Fees and Examination Fees
In case of change in marks, the verification fee is refunded to the candidate automatically. There is no need to make a separate claim for refund and a demand draft would be sent to the address of the applicant
CA Students are also advised to apply for the next exams in case the CA Revaluation Result is not announced before the last date for submission of ca exam form. And in case, the Revaluation Result is positive and the student is declared as passed in the Revaluation Process– the Examination Fees paid by the CA Student would also be refunded
Meanwhile ICAI has also released the Pass Percentage for Nov 2012 Exams and notified the Date Sheet for CA Exams to be held in May 2013

yes if ur verified marks reached to 50% then ICAI should convert your marksheet in pass result.In exam of may2011 ipcc more than 200 student are passed in exam after verification.

ICAI will only check if there is any totalling error or any answer has remained unchecked.
If marks have been allotted to you for a specific answer, that wont be increased – only retotalling and checking if all answers are checked would be done

Papers of all exams conducted by ICAI [CPT,IPCC,CA] SHOULD BE BILINGUAL i.e quetion papers should be in both languages Hindi below that English. It will help to understand quetions for both languages student.

My father, Vipulbhai had given the application for rechecking on 19th July by speed post. This application was not hand written, it was type and also signature was not mine, it was also of my father’s, because of my absency at that time. He attach copy of admit card and DD of Rs. 200/- in favor of The Secretary ICAI, Delhi. And also copy of admit card not sign by my father. So, kinly advise me is there any problem for rechecking procedure.

As per your question it clearly seen that you have marks more than 60 in two paper of Group-1 and therefore you will enjoy the benefit of set-off of marks with Group-2 in the next following exam.

ICAI has started declaring the Resutls for CA Final on its website and would soon start declaring the Results of CA IPCC/PCC as well.
The Results are declared as and when the papers get checked and are usually updated on a daily basis

aisa kahin nahi likha ki 2 subjects mein exemption nahi le sakte….it has not been stated anywhere and I myself got 2 exemptions in PCC Group 2 and i availed both of them and appeared only for 1 paper the next time.

I hv got 194 marks in II group of final exam. and all papers are passed and only in aggregate 200 is not reached. and this is happening since I have attempted all the exams. In revaluation, shall I get 6 more marks?
i have sent my application on my fathers firm envelop were my father office address and phone no. is written for this will they accept the application

i got 83 marks in cpt.It was my 2nd attempt this time and m sure that i should pass in cpt exam.last time i scored same marks.And i was expecting more marks this time.so should i go for revaluation?what you will suggest?will my marks increase?

i got 59 marks in corporate law G-I final i am sure of exemption and hence i am applying for revaluation,if the revaluation result is not out by last date for submission of examination form i will have to submit eam form without claiming exemption in this paper
My querry is if before the the exem reva result comes and this paper marks r incresed let say above 60,than how i will be able to claim for exemption….since form would have been already submitted without claimimg exemption……kindly advice…
