ICAI has announced that CPT Result Dec 2015 would be declared on 17th Jan 2016 at around 2:00 PM. Students can check the CPT Result of Dec 2015 by submitting their 6 digit Roll No. on the following website

www.caresults.nic.in

ICAI has also extended the facility of downloading the CPT Result Card Dec 2015 online. The CPT Result card of Dec 2015 Exams can be downloaded after 10 days of the announcement of result from the website – http://www.icai.nic.in/

In case you have forgotten your CPT Exam Roll. No. of Dec 2015 Exam which was held on 13th Dec 2015, you can always retrieve your Admit Card from the Internet.

To download the CPT Result Cards, Candidates will have to input their:-

  1. Roll No. or Student Registration No. and
  2. Personal Identification No. (PIN No.) i.e. the 4 digit no. of the Candidate’s choice, entered by him/her in his exam application form

It may be noted that the first 3 characters in the CPT Registration Number are alphabets and the balance 7 are numerals. Hence, while entering the student registration number for the purpose of checking CPT Result, do not type “O” (alphabet “O”) in the place of “0” (zero) or vice-versa. For example, while typing WRO 0123456, do not enter WR0 O123456 or WRO O123456.

Students who are unsatisfied with the marks awarded to them in the CPT Result Dec 2015 can also apply for Revaluation of Marks by submitting a handwritten application for the same to ICAI along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 200 drawn in favor of “The Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” payable at “New Delhi”

Earlier, Ranks in CPT Exams were awarded to the Top 10 Students securing the highest marks. However, ICAI has not stopped issuing Ranks for CPT Toppers. This is applicable from Dec 2015 Exams onwards

Check CPT Result Dec 2015 by SMS

Students can also check their CPT Dec 2015 Result by SMS. To enrol for the SMS facility, a student shall first register himself for availing the CPT Result by SMS facility. A Student desirous of receiving the CPT Result Dec 2015 by SMS shall send

CACPT(space)XXXXXX (where XXXXXX is the Roll No. of the Candidate)

The above message shall be sent to 58888. This Service would be active from 10th January 2016 onwards

The CA Final Result Nov 2015 would also be announced along with the CPT Result Dec 2015 Exams. The official date for IPCC Result has still not been announced. It is expected that the IPCC Result would be announced in the 1st week of Feb.

Pass Percentage of CPT Result

The Pass Percentage of CPT Exams is usually around 25% i.e. if 100 Students appear for CPT Exam, only 25 Students clear the Exam. In June 2015, 128916 Students had appeared for CPT, out of which 32619 Students cleared the CPT Exams with the topper – Meka Naresh Kumar scoring 192 Marks out of 200 i.e. 96.00%.

CPT Result Cards

Results Cards are normally sent by post to the physical address of the student after the declaration of CPT Result. However, with effect from December 2012 Attempt, these Result Cards would also be hosted online in addition to dispatching the Result Cards by post. You can download these Result Cards after the declaration of Results from:-

The Result Card would be hosted online within 10 days of the announcement of the CPT Result. The Result Card hosted online on the above mentioned website would contain the photograph and the signature of the candidate and would be eligible for Registration to the next level in CA Course i.e. CA Intermediate.

CA Intermediate Registration

Students who have been declared as passed in the CPT Result Dec 2015 are required to register themselves for Intermediate (IPCC) which is the next level after CPT. The Registration for Intermediate is not automatic and students are required to register themselves for the same before 1st March to be eligible to appear in May 2016 Exams
